Want To Connect?
At Solera, you are considered to be part of our “faith family” when you begin attending on a regular basis. However, we recognize the need for formal connection as a way to commit to your faith family and to connect with others in our faith family.
We ask you to formally connect for four reasons:
A Biblical Reason: Christ is committed to the church
“. . . Christ loved the church, and he gave his life for it.” Ephesians 5:25
A Cultural Reason: It is an antidote to our society
We live in an age where very few want to be committed to anything...a job...a marriage...our country. This attitude has even produced a generation of “church shoppers and hoppers.” Commitment swims against the current of America’s “consumer religion.” It is an unselfish decision. Commitment always builds character.
A Practical Reason: It defines who can be counted on
Every team must have a roster. Every school must have an enrollment. Every army has an enlistment. Our nation takes a census and requires voter registration. Formal connection identifies our family.
A Personal Reason: It aids our spiritual growth
The New Testament places a major emphasis on the need for Christians to be accountable to each other for spiritual growth. You cannot be accountable when you’re not committed to any specific church family.
Anyone desiring to connect to Solera must be a professing believer in Jesus Christ, must be (or have been) baptized by immersion, and must complete the “First Step” classes. Contact the Connections Office for more information at GoSolera@solerachurch.com or simply call the office at (954) 748-9200.
